LA NUIT ENSOLEILLÉE - PERFORMANCE HAPPENING (LIVE WEBCAST)
To mark the summer solstice, the COMPAGNIE MARIE CHOUINARD is organizing a nocturnal performance-happening in the studios of the BIBLIOTHÈQUE – Espace Marie Chouinard. For the entire night, the shortest of the year, the public is invited to come see the dancers who have shaped the company’s 20 year history, including Marie Chouinard herself, in an intimate and unusual setting.
From dusk on June 21 (9:25 p.m.) until dawn on June 22 (4:28 a.m.), the dancers will perform structured improvisations to live music by Louis Dufort. Since 1996, Louis has composed for COMPAGNIE productions such as Étude no1, MOUVEMENTS, bODY_rEMIX/les_
vARIATIONS_gOLDBERG, ORPHÉE ET EURYDICE, morning glories :)-(:, THE GOLDEN MEAN (LIVE).
The night-long event promises to be a unique arts happening, a celebration of light where emotion, serenity and even drowsiness are welcome! Visitors are free to come and go as they please throughout the night.
