to visit the Espace
Marie Chouinard studios and see company dancers at
work in a public rehearsal of two pivotal creations, The Rite of Spring and 24 Preludes
by Chopin.
To allow a work to enter you and make it your own:
that is the task of the dancer in rehearsal. It’s not simply a matter of
learning the choreography, for the dancer must viscerally grasp the work’s
intent and explore the possibilities of gesture. Come see
the creative process at work in studio, away from the limelight.
