For professional dancers & students enrolled in a professional dance programme 

From January 6 to 8, 2026, the MARIE CHOUINARD COMPANY is holding the 10th edition of its international workshop for professional and pre-professional dancers.

Working alongside the company's dancers for three days, participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Marie Chouinard's artistic universe, explore her choreographic systems and immerse themselves in her rigorous and impulsive language. 

Each day will begin with meditation and body awareness classes focusing on breath and sound. The rhythms and physicality specific to the choreographer's works, as well as breathing, spine, physical awareness, and internal connections, will be studied in depth, allowing participants to enrich their technique, deepen their interpretive work, and open themselves up to a subtle practice that reunites body, psyche, and soul.

The COMPANY's 12 exceptional dancers will provide the teaching: Carol Prieur, Clémentine Schindler, Adrian W.S. Batt, Sophie Qin, Valeria Gallucio, Michael Baboolal, Jérôme Zerges, Béatrice Larouche, Rose Gagnol, Luigi Luna, Ana Van Tendeloo, and Justin Calvadores.

Join the dancers of the COMPAGNIE MARIE CHOUINARD for the 10th edition of this workshop open to all and explore the COMPAGNIE's world of dance. Participants will have the opportunity to explore Marie Chouinard's choreographic systems and immerse themselves in her precise yet impulsive language.

The days will begin with meditation and body awareness classes, incorporating breathing and sound exercises. The rhythm and physicality specific to the choreographer's works, as well as work on the spine, presence, and internal connections, will be examined. Participants will be led to engage in unique sensations and experiences to awaken their senses to new dimensions, all in a simple, organic, sensitive, and accessible manner.

The COMPAGNIE MARIE CHOUINARD is proud to be carbon neutral. Since 2020, the company has analyzed and offset the carbon footprint of its tours, its productions and its studios. The company supports the Quebec initiative, Carbone boréal, which reforests naturally deserted terrain in the boreal forests north of Lake Saint Jean. These are public lands which are protected by their designation as experimental forests in conjunction with the Quebec Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks. This project is also used for scientific research.
